HI Harlan, Many of John Denver's songs are about leaving such as "Leaving on a Jet Plane", and "Goodbye Again". 2 others that touch the deep love a parent has for their children are "Follow Me" and "For Baby".
I got to be this mushy from my dad. Thanks for your response.
PS My almost college kid thinks I'm crazy.
